For our June 2016 meeting we hired a small bus and FF Col drove us around parts of Tamworth directed by Rod Hobbs who pointed out and gave the history of many significant places around the city. He also had and distributed photos af what the city looked like in the 1800s.

It was a most interesting venture and we learned so much about our own home of which we would not have otherwise been aware.

Following a most enjoyable morning we retired to Joe Maguires Pub for  lunch.

The photo shows us fed and contented after a great meal.

We meet on the first Saturday of February, April, June, August, October and December usually at the Family History Rooms 62-64 North St Tamworth. On odd occasions we may have to change the day to the second Saturday. To confirm, please phone (02) 6765 2122
